When one diaphragm goes on a system of that vintage, the others are usually within a season or two of the same thing. We will tell you when that pattern is showing, because rebuilding four valves on one visit costs considerably less than four separate call-outs across a summer.

The last Wake Forest specific is exposure. A zone at the far end of the yard fails in hot weather but works in spring. Why?

Almost always a marginal wire connection on a long run. Voltage drops with distance and heat, so a splice that just about holds in April gives up in August. We measure resistance at the controller and at the valve to separate a wire problem from a solenoid.
